Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo

Talwandi Sabo is a religous place located at a distance of 25 KM from Bathinda in the cotton belt of Punjab. Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji the Tenth Guru of Sikhs visited this town in 1704 and stayed here for about a year. He blessed this town as ‘Guru Ki Kashi’ a place of knowledge and learning. True to his words, this place has know become a big educational centre. The magnificent Gurudwara Sahib, known as “Takht Damdama Sahib” is one of the five temporal seats of Sikh Religion. The town is surrounded by many big industries like, Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Plant Bathinda, Guru Gobind Singh Oil Refinary, Talwandi Sabo. Guru Hargobind Thermal Plant National Fertilizer Ltd. Bathinda, Talwandi Power corporation Thermal Plant, and a large number of small and medium size Food Processing, Chemical, Cotton Ginning and spinning mills.

With the blessings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the Guru Kashi University will strive to further enhance the educational standards and to uplift the economic and social well being of the people of the area.
