Dr. Jaswinder Singh Dhillon Vice Chancelor , Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo, a noted academician, has a brilliant academic record of bagging four time gold medals by standing 1st in Punjab in Language Teacher’s Training Programme (O.T.), 1st in GNDU in B.Ed., 1st in M.A. & M.Phil. .
Dr.Dhillon has held many prestigious positions in various capacities as Principal Khalsa College Amritsar, Deputy Director, Academic Staff College, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Dean, Faculty of Education Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, Member Syndicate & Senate Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, National Assessor, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) & National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), President (Asia), Global Educational Research Association (GERA), Regional Secretary (North),Indian Association of Teacher Education (IATE), Honorary Secretary (EC), Chief Khalsa Diwan Amritsar, Director, Gandhian Research Centre, Editor, Researcher’s Tandem ( A quarterly journal of Educational Research). .
Dr. Dhillon has 36 years of teaching and research experience at college and university with guiding 20 Ph.D. thesis in Education and 74 M.Ed. level dissertations. He is also a Ph.D. adjudicator of a number of reputed Universities of India including University of Calcutta (Calcutta), Panjab University (Chandigarh), IGNOU (New Delhi), Osmania University (Hyderabad). .
Dr. Dhillon has published 40-research papers, in National and International journals and 11 books on various aspects of Teacher Education. He is also on the editorial board of a number of journals of National repute. .
Dr.Dhillon has coordinated 27 General Orientation Courses (GOC’s) and Refresher Courses (RC’s) for the universities & College Teachers at Academic Staff College, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and has successfully organised 43 National/ International seminars, Conferences & Workshops. .
Dr.Dhillon has delivered lectures as keynote speaker and a resource person in a number of International Conferences, Workshops and Seminars and convocation. .
Under his educational mission, Dr. Dhillon has visited a number of Universities in Canada, United Kingdom, Malaysia, Singapore, Sweden, Norway, Turkey, Netherland, Denmark, Finland, Russia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, Pakistan and Bhutan. .
Dr. Dhillon is member of more than two dozen prestigious educational bodies at national & international level as NCTE, NAAC, IATE, GERA, IFORE, AIAER & various Universities of the country. .
Dr. Dhillon is a true custodian of Indian Art and Culture. As Co-ordinator of SPICMACY and PCPC (Regd.), he has worked relentlessly for the preservation and promotion of Indian Art and Culture & organised six International folk ensembles & numerous festivals at national level in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC). South Zone Cultural Centre (SZCC) & East Zone Cultural Centre (EZCC). A man of action, Dr. Dhillon believes in two-words theory that ‘Work Works’ and aims at providing quality education compatible with International Standards.
