Management ClubsManagement ClubsHere at University College of Commerce and Management, we are not only concerned about the academic developments of a student but we equally emphasize on multifaceted development through various student activities. We have various management clubs like finance club, marketing club, HR club and cultural club. These clubs are run by MBA students and we encourage and support them in organizing different activities like quizzes, industry guest lecture series, case competition, management and various cultural activities. It helps in understanding mantras of various management disciplines. The club gives the chance to apply classroom learning to the outside world. This helps the students to gain invaluable leadership as well as life skills.

- Student Mentoring program at UCCM works on the principle of Friend – Philosopher – Guide, where every faculty member is appointed as a Class Mentor for a set of 30 students in the campus. This helps each student to reflect upon and express his personal and unique thoughts, reactions, feelings and sense or system of values in present in him. This necessarily involves an exploration of his feelings, relationships, involvement (or lack thereof) with teachers, his studies, and various activities. The Guidance aspect of the Mentoring Department helps students become aware of their academic strengths and weaknesses find and develop study skills that strengthen weak areas, identify personal strengths and gifts, and formulate some career and education plans. The Mentoring Program includes the following services:
- Assistance to each student in his own personal growth and development.
- Academic assessment and guidance.
- Individual and group testing.
- Career exploration.
- Guidance for students conditionally accepted or on academic or disciplinary probation.
- Personal counseling to individual students and small groups.
Industry Academia InterfaceAs our commitment towards the industry, we strive to set a very high standard for ourselves. We are adopting the globally relevant best practices to create a continuous stream of future student leaders, continuously improving upon the past. By learning and understanding the industry needs and requirements, we have developed a deep insight which helps and guides us to make our students industry ready. With the help of a wide range of programmes in the field Business Management is delivered through a highly accomplished and experienced faculty, we ensure that our students are ready at the conclusion of the course for the respective industry This is further enhanced through many special initiatives such as Institute-Industry Interface. Pre-placement Training. Conferences and Seminars. These initiatives are implemented through Institute Industry Partnership Cell (IIPC) and Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) which are continuously working in tandem with the corporate leaders to develop a deep bond between UCCM and the industry.
Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC)Industry Institute Partnership Cell I at UCCM aims at fostering excellent working relationship between UCCM and partner industries. Our interaction and joint ventures include planning and conduct of academic events like National Conferences, Seminars and workshops, guest lectures by reputed professionals and more.
Entrepreneur Development Cell (EDC)EOC has been established with a view to provide fillip to the young and budding entrepreneurs. Regular programmes are conducted for the volunteer students to create awareness as well as to sharpen their skills which are absolutely essential for success in entrepreneurial ventures. Experts from academia and industry address the students to coach, guide and enthuse them to turn their dreams into reality.
Management Development Projects (MDP)Management Development Projects are taken up frequently at UCCM. These projects include training programmes conducted (or the various companies, both at UCCM as well as at their respective locations. Our MDPs are tailor made to meet the specific requirements of the companies and delivered with the professional touch to ensure effectiveness. A vast reservoir of experts is available at UCCM.
Extracurricular Activities'Menssana in corporesano’ is a Latin proverb that means ‘a healthy mind lives in a healthy body’. In order to keep up with the rigorous curriculum and demanding workload at UCCM, it is necessary that students are able to look after their health and let out steam once in a while. In order to transform students into healthy managers, with all-round development, UCCM provides a multitude of opportunities for sports and other extracurricular activities. There is much more to learn outside the classroom and lot of chances for interactions with fellow students. Every student on campus leaves not just with a degree but also with friendships and bonds that last a lifetime. The student community at UCCM is truly diverse; the students come from different states, social and cultural backgrounds, and walks of life. As they become a part of the UCCM community, they get an unparalleled exposure to different cultures, languages and ways of living. Several student activities are directed towards extending the classroom learning experience. The CAREER oriented curriculum and the soft skills TRAININGprovided at the College of Management ensure that every student gets placed in jobs commensurate with his/ her background, skills and competencies. The college is backed by Guru Kashi University's placement cell which undertakes counseling, training and value addition to ensure that students are ready to hit the job running. Every Year new companies which are front runners in their respective industries visit the campus for recruiting our students. The average salary level has been constantly increasing reflecting the effort of the Placement Cell.
