The university will promote education of Gurbani, Gurmukhi, Shabad kirtan, Tanti saaz, string instrument tradition, Rabab and overall Gurmat Sangeet through research & teaching. GKU will also help lineage of Bhai Mardana and Rababi community blessed by Guru Nanak from all over the world to develop their talent according to Guru’s perspective of music. The University offers the basic course for the promotion and propagation of Gurmat Sangeet amongst mankind at Global level. The volunteers of GKU will connect with schools, colleges, universities, Taksal’s and other organisations to spread this course amongst seekers of Gurmat Sangeet.

The process shall be as follows:

• Mode: 1. online through university website.
• Registration: The candidate shall have to register online and will get password to access online course material.


• Course Material : Reading course material will be provided online through website. The candidate shall have to study course material in the prescribed study hours and will have access for examination.



• Examination requirements: After reading course material. The candidate shall have to attempt 100 MCQs.


• Evaluation : The evaluation will be conducted online.


• Certification : The candidate shall receive information about his score and will get soft copy of certificate online and hard copy through online request with the courtesy of Gurmat Sangeet Foundation.


• Candidates Achievement: The successful candidate will be eligible for GKU certificate course in Gurmat Sangeet and other basic courses of Gurmat Sangeet i. e. Certificate course in Rabab etc. The successful candidates will be able to reply to any kind of questions asked by any embassy or any of other organisations regarding Gurmat Sangeet.
